Position Summary:
We are searching for a Technical Business Analyst/Solutions Designer in our Burlington, MA office. This position requires a bright, high-energy individual looking to make an immediate impact on our dynamic and quickly growing business. The Solutions Designer contributes to achievement of P&L objectives for the business through the understanding, documentation and design of key processes, data flows and business requirements to create and operationalize the intended solution set. This position also provides strategic cross-functional support in effecting business-critical application problem resolution.

The Solutions Designer will be responsible for striving for maximum user productivity and operational efficiency within Technology & Operations. The Solution Designer will work with the business units and shared services teams on the design, testing, and implementation of new software, enhancements to existing software, and the change management program. The Solution Designer will develop requirements, models, workflows, forms, reports, and metrics as required in support of immediate business needs.

Lead/assist with initiatives to streamline business processes and workflows.

Understand and document key business process, data flows and business requirements that support new products and operations.

Understand key platforms currently supporting business processes.

Gather and analyze data for each business unit and shared service within the organization.

Collaborate with IT and business staff to design solutions around core business processes and systems.

Devise or modify procedures to solve complex business problems.

Prepare detailed requirements documentation from which program specifications will be written.

Produce quality deliverables including: business requirements documentation, process flow charts, data flow charts, high-level design specifications, and high-level project timelines.

Lead/assist with functional testing and user acceptance testing for assigned projects.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer related field, or equivalent work experience.

5 - 7 years of hands on business analysis/project management experience in the technical industry.

Previous experience working with business groups to develop business requirements and workflows.

Previous experience with process management and process change implementation.

Previous experience writing SQL queries and prior development experience are preferred.

Data modeling experience is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of users and with management.

Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio are preferred.
