Job Description:
  • May be assigned as a Task Manager, Production Unit
Leader, Lead Discipline Engineer, Engineering
Manager, Proposal Manager, Senior Consultant or
similar title on large complex projects. In this
role, defines customer problem, achieves customer
alignment, develops proposals and scope documents,
prepares project/task plan, develops production
methods, directs production work, provides technical
direction and provides feedback to management on
work status and performance.
  • Performs independent audits on technical work.
Implements corrective action to enhance performance.
  • Supervises or mentors one or more subordinates and
provides input regarding performance. Interviews new
engineering candidates. Assignments may be in
corporate offices or at customer facilities.
  • Participates in proposal activities, including
coordinating all engineering activities on
proposals.
  • Responsible for technical design reviews and root
cause analysis.
  • Coordinates engineering for proposals, including
development of performance guarantees and front-end
studies.

Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in related field or applicable
discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience. 12
to 15 years of relevant experience including
technical and supervisory experience is preferred.
Manages work directly or indirectly through
Managers.
  • Manages multiple functional disciplines; Develops
and oversees implementation of strategic programs
and policies for their groups, which will have
impact on the overall organization; Ability to
manage multiple complex projects through others;
Works frequently with executive management on
significant matters influencing the organization's
business results, which typically include global
strategies;
  • Ability to visualize and oversee the design of new
concepts and ideas related to the broader
organization as well as functional area of expertise
and ; Broad knowledge of business operations and
ability to implement and lead organizational change
effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted
and applied general information and consultation
with other individuals.
  • The ability to effectively communicate and present
complex program proposals and reports to executive
level management and/or the Board is critical.
Ability to persuade and influence others is
critical. Participative management style with a
cooperative team approach. Proven leadership skills
in multi-cultural and possibly multi-national
environments. Commitment to customer service and
ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
General characterized as a manager with seasoned
technical knowledge. Manages and directs through
mid-level and senior level managers or first level
directors. Typically will interface with lower level
personnel, executive management, customers, and
outside vendors.
