Major Responsibilities
  • Responsible to develop technical packages and evaluate garments for technical specifications, consistent fit, and proper construction and finish.
  • Work closely with Pattern Makers, Sample Makers, and Product Director on technical construction and or fit issues and track garment progress for the division.
  • Assist in organizing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines, partnering with other Technical Designers and Pattern Makers as needed.
  • Adhere to established fit and construction standards by producing accurate specification packages including: sketch details, base size specifications, grade measurements, construction, labeling, and packaging details.
  • Prepares, rewrites, and edits copy to improve readability of the Tech Pack.
  • Verifies trims, fabric and measurements using standard reference sources.
  • Responsible for updating Tech Packs.

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years assistant technical design experience in knits and/or wovens.
  • Degree in Apparel Design, Product Development or related field.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of garment construction, fit standards, patternmaking, grading, and specification packages.

    Skills Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with Product Development team and other divisions throughout the firm.
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop required
  • Knowledge of TukaTech would be a plus
