Thomson Reuters Eikon is the next generation of Thomson Reuters Markets desktop information products, and is transforming this business by delivering compelling and customer driven products over a single, flexible and robust platform.
This role resides within the Desktop Platform Technology Operations (DPTO) Delivery team, which has accountability for end to end Eikon infrastructure project and enhancement delivery, representing Technology Operations to key Eikon project stakeholders in the business.
The DPTO Delivery team is based in New York, Buenos Aires, London, Geneva, Singapore and Bangkok.
The successful candidate will participate in multiple high-visibility Eikon projects and will be responsible for managing complex implementation work:
Be a technical expert on his assigned projects (key technical point of contact within the team)
Participate in network design and check network implementation
Manage application deployment
Manage infrastructure and application testing
Manageme and supervise cutover activities to ensure a smooth transition into Production and to the 2nd level support teams
This role also includes additional responsibilities where necessary, such as integration with production and operational management networks, and ensuring compliance to policies and standards for Process, Technology and Security.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
Specialized Knowledge (mandatory) with Hands-on experience on Sun (Solaris10) and related products: LDAP, Access Manager, for implementation, administration and support roles.
Remote Support Experience covering 24 x 7 mission critical business environment.
3 to 6 years experience on Technical Implementation and Support roles for IT infrastructure Data Centre environments.
Experience with complex product environment for application support with thorough understanding on data flow and architecture.
Highly motivated individual, with a positive & proactive attitude to work, and willingness to make changes to improve operational efficiency through innovation, process and procedure, and adopting and adapting ideas and practices from elsewhere.
Ability to act rapidly and logically under pressure, and make effective use of others in resolving problems.
Ability to work in a flexible schedule.
Ability to work in a dispersed functional team and individually with minimum supervision.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure with changing priorities is essential.
Logical & systematic approach to problem solving.
Writing skills for documentation, building & maintaining relationships, problem solving and decision making, end to end ownership for customer satisfaction through levels of support, planning and organisation & working well within a virtual team are the required key soft skills.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Technical Expertise on Sun(Solaris10) for implementation, administration and support roles.
Knowledge with IBM WAS (Websphere Application Server) is an advantage
Knowledge on IT Security and ISO 27001 requirements.
Thomson Reuters Product Expertise with Applications Infrastructures in Data Centre such as RKWM, TIBCO, DACS etc and Client Site Experience with RMDS, cDBU etc.
Experience with the ITIL Process method of working for Incident, Problem, Change, Release & Configuration Management Tasks covering analysis & execution.
