Title: Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert:
  • Possess Expert knowledge in Automotive Warranty Systems Business process, Business applications and in underlying technology of Business applications (Informatica, Business Objects and J2EE Web technologies)
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to assigned Business area about the capabilities of different technologies and tools to solve Business problems or support Business strategy
  • Effectively manage customer expectations and project requirements during planning and rollout of new releases.
  • Provide Business Analysis and process redesign support or improvements within the assigned business area in the analysis, design and development of system applications
  • Responsible for guiding System Integrators in the role of SME to design, develop and implement optional system solutions to quality and standards
  • Effectively manage Customer expectations and System Requests/project requirements during planning and rollout of new releases
  • Change Management - to ensure proper change request procedures are followed for scheduling and implementing system changes
  • Software release management - User coordination for installation of new hardware and new versions of software.
  • Ensure defined scope exists and agreed by business for small application enhancements
  • Support Application Support vendor to resolve Application problems and SEV1 & SEV2 incidents
  • Support Process Integration Manager with Application Rationalization and planning for application life cycle and project portfolio development
Promote Teamwork and Partnership

  • Pro-Active co-operation and support of other application specialists
  • Demonstrate solutions focus and cooperation
  • Act as back-ups for other Service & Quality application specialists
  • Work with Global, Regional and SI service providers
  • Insure customer satisfaction
Support Project Delivery

  • Providing business analysis and process redesign support within the assigned business area in the analysis, design and development of system applications
  • Project effort and duration estimation tied directly to project cost estimation
  • Support projects with technical design and development
  • Provide Project Delivery and Integration support. (Assistance in change tickets, change deployment support and Knowledge Transfer)
  • Act as application SME to IT projects conducted by vendors hired by ITPO or business
  • Developing business relationships and integrating activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts
  • Monitoring and reporting to management on the status of assigned tasks, identify issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and suggesting corrective actions
Operational Activities

  • Assist with Sev 1 and 2 incident escalations to ensure quick resolution and business continuity
  • Problem resolution to ensure operational stability
  • Provide SME support for Projects and business.
  • Backup/Support for other Application specialists for PARTS
  • Drive the IT&S MTM defined initiative to reduce system complexity
Support Applications

  • Warranty Applications (Includes J2EE applications, Informatica solutions and Data Warehouse solutions developed using Informatica and Business Objects)
Required Qualifications

Documentation Responsibilities

  • Support Enterprise Architecture initiative undertaken by IT
  • Maintain application and business process documentation as defined by IT Enterprise Architecture standards committee and Application Support Team Lead
  • Act as steward for individual applications documentation and its up keep
  • Perform semi-annual validation of documentations accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure support vendor independence in the future by documenting and maintaining all application and process relevant documentation
Specialized Technical Skills

  • Total years of experience in IT: 10+
  • Bachelor¬ís degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 7+ years hands on experience with Informatica Powercenter v8 and higher
  • At least 5+ years hands on experience with Business Objects
  • Experience in J2EE platform will be given preference
  • Experience in Data Warehouse concepts is a strong plus
