Chenega Federal Systems, LLC is currently seeking a

Technical Operations Team Lead

. The project will require a dynamic and motivated individual to lead an existing program to help find, screen, train, and formally evaluate individuals and small teams to conduct overseas technical operations in stressful environments. The candidate will not travel operationally with these teams but will serve as the overall development lead and trainee manager reporting to the Technical Director and Program Manager. The position is a SETA-type position, requiring an OCI agreement to be signed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the overall program office process for tech ops candidate sourcing, assessment, and training.

2. Work closely with HR branch to identify and conduct initial suitability screening of candidates

3. Work closely with other program office branches to develop integrated assessments and training programs for candidates.

4. Coordinate closely with program office liaisons for each candidate to schedule activities, provide information to candidates, and get

5. Support training and readiness exercises to evaluate individual and team performance.

6. Maintain development plans and assessment records for candidates.

7. Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the contract /client.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Experience using basic hand tools, power tools, electrical diagnostic tools

Experience with basic “handyman” construction tasks

Experience in conducting informal in-person interviews

Experience in training and evaluating small teams for technical operations

Overseas travel experience

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active TS/SCI security clearance with full scope polygraph.

The following skills/experience are desired; however not required:

Direct experience as part of technical operations teams overseas

Direct experience leading small technical operations teams overseas

Commercial overseas travel experience

Experience installing and maintaining electronics and computer systems

Experience leading execution and planning of formal readiness evaluations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to critically assess technical, team dynamics, and leadership skills in candidates
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills
  • An ability to work independently and within a dynamic team environment
Travel:
Some travel will be required within the U.S., generally sporadic but likely for several weeks during final team evaluations. Overseas travel is not anticipated; however may be required as needed.
