The Technical Operations Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with the
installation and refurbishment of equipment in various locations including
servicing and repair of computer systems, networks, camera’s, photographic
printers, and training skills for the proper instruction to various employees
nationwide. The following are the essential duties and responsibilities
expected of a Technical Operations Technician. Other duties may be assigned as
deemed necessary.
Must possess project management skills and system design skills in order to plan and
coordinate the many facets of a project installation.

Will train local staff on software usage, computer and printer maintenance, and company
protocols. Will also assist in creating training documentation and/or training video’s.

Must be able to perform computer hardware, software, and security audits, as well as
document location setups and network topology diagrams.

Will assist with training and oversight of Corporate IT staff and helpdesk staff on
realistic usage and application of company technology and venue workflow. Assist in testing new software and technology with an emphasis on venue workflow and application.

Travel is required up to two and one half (2.5) weeks per month.

Must be customer service oriented and make good working relationships with employees
nationwide, vendors, and manufacturers.
Within the corporation, this person will work with photographers, lab
technicians, managers, regional directors, national directors, IT staff, and
administrative personnel.

Must be task oriented and self driven to start and complete tasks with efficiency and
minimal supervision. This position
requires excellent problem solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication

The technician must be able to operate battery powered tools required during
installations and service calls (wire management, mounting antennas, network
gear, running and terminating network cables, assembly racks, furniture etc).

Preferred skills include experience in networking and troubleshooting. Experience with UNIX, .net, Express Digital, scripting, Fuji Frontier systems, DSLR camera’s is also beneficial. Basic design skills and knowledge of
photoshop, Windows OS, Linux OS, and leading digital creation applications.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years of related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. College degree in Computer Science,
Networking, or other related field is preferred.

Extensive travel is required throughout the nation, as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to electrical
circuitry and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is
usually moderate.
