NCI: As the Technical Order Writer ( Technical Editor , Senior ) , member will assist in the development, writing, editing and management of AFLCMC/HNI Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) Infrastructure Division (CID) Technical Orders (TO). The TO Writer will work with third party integrators and AFLCMC/HNI engineers in the editing and preparation of TOs for publication. The TO Writer will assist in structuring the TOs IAW the AFLCMC/HNI TO Management Plan and in collaboration with AFLCMC/HNID. Member will assist third party integrators to ensure the third party provided TOs are produced IAW the correct format, governing AF Instructions, and the AFLCMC/HNI TO Management Plan. Required task are to edit, proof-read, and assist in the conversion of the document to approved formats. produce, validate, and publish the TOs IAW all applicable governing DoD and AF Standards, Regulations, and Instructions, and the AFLCMC/HNI TO Management Plan. Team shall support TO Guidance Conferences, In-process Reviews, TO Validations, TO Verifications and Field Service Evaluations. This support may include written materials, briefing support, and discussions to facilitate a smooth transition of the documentation to the PMO.
Highlights of Responsibilities
- Required to edit, proof-read, and assist in the conversion of the third party TO’s to approved formats.
- Produce, validate, and publish the TO’s in accordance with all applicable governing DoD and AF Standards, Regulations, and Instruction, and the AFLCMC/HNI TO Management Plan.
- Collaborate with AFLCMC/HNID to determine priority levels for each TO.
- Support TO Guidance Conferences, in-process reviews, TO validations & verifications and Field Service Evaluations.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
- Must have a bachelors degree or certification in Technical Writing, or five (5) years experience as a Technical Writer.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Experience working with PTC Arbortext.
- Experience working with PTC Windchill PDMLink.
