Job Summary Our client is looking for a Technical Product Manager to help deliver the most reliable e-commerce shopping platform.
In this role, you will help shape our critical front-end platforms, balancing business objectives and the platforms’ technical capabilities with solving consumers’ and internal producer’s needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be on the front lines of powering a world-class B2C e-commerce site. You will work with merchants, marketers and producers to assess new ideas, prioritize initiatives, define scope, write stories, support technical teams, train production users and assess success post-launch. RESPONSIBILITIES Drives scope definition of large, strategic platform enhancements and upgrades, championing a vision that supports the business needs while delivering value to our clients and internal users.
Works with producers to define their requirements and deliver an efficient, effective platform for managing the site experience Collaborates with internal business partners to refine requirements and define enhancements, creating buy-in from other teams as necessary. Creates requirements, use casesuser scenarios and workflow process enhancements. Proactively identifies issues. Works closely with key business leaders at senior levels.
Synthesizes business requirements, identifies areas of uncertainty, recommends solutions, gathers buy-in from relevant stakeholders, rolls solution out to team, shepherds feature through development and reviews code before rollout. Works closely with technical team to understand platform capabilities and constraints, and arrives at innovative options to meet the business needs without significant custom development. Develops metrics to measure success of program features, analyzes results, and partners across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations. Projects expected to focus on upgrades and enhancements to Endeca search engine and ATGBCC e-commerce platform.
Experience Experience with e-Commerce catalog management and publishing platforms ATG and Endeca experience highly desirable. Strong leadership, strategic thinking and practical organizational planning skills. Superior relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills within cross-functional teams. Ability to identify and understand issues related to both the internal and external client, and develops innovative solutions.
Nimble and flexible with regards to changing priorities business needs, and in working with diverse teams people. Proven multi-tasking skills, ability to meet critical deadlines. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects — work prioritization, planning, task delegation, and work with peers in a cross-functional setting. Strong analytical skills.
Ability to ferret out the simple, practical solution over the overwrought and complicated. Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and able to operate effectively without close supervision. 2-5 years’ experience in e-commerce product management with a successful history of launching highly effective products for large transactional websites. 3-5 years of consumer-based online experience.
