We are seeking a motivated SME and thought leader in the application performance industry that will join the Compuware’s Global Delivery Organization (GDO) to help define innovative service oriented solutions that will drive unprecedented value to our customers currently facing business challenges due to IT performance related issues. This managerial role includes managing and growing an outstanding delivery team that strives for excellence.
This role includes the following responsibilities:
As a Technical Program Director, you will have visibility in the P&L and will need to constantly help optimize/achieve financial goals.
He/she will ensure customer expectations and service level agreements are met, moderate weekly project calls, and help resolve day-to-day issues. Will not only ensure our customers are satisfied, but are key referenced accounts.
Will oversee and manage IT professionals. With business growth, the TPD will be responsible for working with our recruiting organization and hiring top talent as well as training current employees looking to grow in this field of expertize.
This role supervises all aspects of technology performance lifecycle, including consulting, assessment, proposing innovative solutions, engagement estimates, performance remediation initiatives and customer relationship management.
Will develop competitive solutions focused on “Application Performance” that are scalable, repeatable and that drives business value to Compuware customers.
This role will require working closely with Compuware’s local and international services sales force to identify business opportunities, prepare estimations/proposals, present customer solutions and help win the business in technology performance domain.
He/she will work with project managers to identify and resolve financial risks, define and analyze metrics, set resource strategies and policies, and manage contract-related issues between Compuware and customers.

5-10 years in a management capacity within enterprise application development services industry with a strong focus on Performance Engineering.
Works at all levels – technical influence/direction and communicate and present to C-level (Business). Analyzes, assesses, and consults with customers around performance related problems.
Works across organizational boundaries and brings enterprise capabilities together to achieve creative solutions. Proven capacity to Manage, mentor, and grow senior technical experts in the area of technology performance. Extensive experience in the delivery of web based application projects in .NET and Java (B2B, B2C Web Technologies) with focus on Enterprise Architecture patterns. Ability to manage medium to large multi site, multi cultural teams leading to innovative solutions. Proven ability to manage several development teams working on concurrent projects with iterative and Agile development methodologies alike. Exposure to global distributed enterprise infrastructure comprised of multiple technology platforms. Experience in industry leading application performance management tools.
Excellent decision-making skills and initiative in solving problems. Experience in risk identification and risk mitigation.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team. Strong customer interfacing and negotiating skills.
Has participated and presented in industry consortiums related to enterprise architecture and performance. Published white-papers, abstracts and other technical artifacts in technology performance domain. In depth knowledge of Java/JEE, Microsoft “Team Foundation” for .NET projects as well as open source equivalents.
Participated in CMMi and/or ISO certification processes. TOGAF Certification
