Core Delivery is the shared services organisation of dunnhumby which serves and supports 7 dunnhumby businesses (markets) and over 20 retail installations globally. Core Delivery serves the markets who in turn serve our clients. Core Delivery must deliver value to the markets. Value is defined as our markets benefiting from a shared services function versus having to manage and create such capability on its own. Overall purpose

The purpose of this role is to plan and manage projects within the IT Infrastructure Workplan, ensuring smooth running and delivery of these projects and adherence to best practice project management. The role is measured on successful delivery of projects to the agreed scope, budget, time and quality.

Key Responsibilities

You will be a Project Manager responsible for the delivery of infrastructure projects that deliver change to production infrastructure and associated test and development environments. Key technologies that will be involved in your project working alongside technical experts on: Oracle Exadata; Cisco network; VMAX storage; SAS; Windows 7 and Office 2010; Exchange; Cisco Unified Comms; Isilon.

Project Manager will be responsible for all project stages from initial business case through to implementation.

To oversee, communicate on, and manage all assigned projects on the IT Infrastructure workplan.

To ensure that there is common commitment to deliverables, by acting as the “glue” between different IT team members and across core and the wider business where required.

To manage dependencies across all stakeholders and contributors, within a project and between projects

To identify potential risks and issues, and resolve or escalate with advice on options

To act as focal point for defining, implementing and maintaining processes, standards, controls and measures

To deliver reporting of the status of each project, thereby providing centralised visibility and effective status communications to internal business/ stakeholders.

To establish and maintain the project time reporting structure in support of programme reporting, estimation and budgeting.

Travel to other dunnhumby sites globally as per project needs.

To keep abreast of dunnhumby and external project and programme management best practice and ensure that all teams are using the best tools and processes available.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

Experience of the project lifecycle, ideally in an IT and delivery environment

Practical IT experience (worked in an IT team in some capacity)

Worked in an Infrastructure environment

Have demonstrable experience of managing all stages of an infrastructure project (solution definition, business case, initiation, design, build, testing, implementation, closure)

Accurately forecast budget and resource utilisation

Have experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and vendors

Experience of data Centre projects, office Infrastructure setup or relocation and system upgrade projects.

Desirable

Detailed expertise or training in dunnhumby relevant technologies

Knowledge of and training in project management principles, tools, techniques and processes
