Futrend Technology is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team of industry leading professionals. This on-site position will provide Technical Project Management support to our OPM customer.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for strategic, tactical, operational management and execution of all aspects of the customer’s project mission following Futrend’s methodology and project management practices.

The successful candidate will also possess the requisite management and leadership experience in the following areas: *
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the client; collaborating on strategy, tactics and operations *
  • Serving as the liaison between the client and assigned staff to ensure clear and consistent communication *
  • Technical project and task management experience successfully delivering projects on-time, within budget and in scope *
  • Managing deliverables, internal reviews and schedules *
  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing project management plans using project management best practices from PMBOK *
  • Working with SME(s) to develop Work Breakdown Schedules, work packages, & resource plans for projects *
  • Working with various government staff to coordinate requirements gathering, software releases, patch installation, schedule maintenance activities, etc. *
  • Ensuring that Integrated Master Schedule’s milestones are met *
  • Providing day to day support to the Government COR, including scheduling, reporting, etc. *
  • Managing technical contractors’ tasks and ensure their completion assigned by the Government COR *
  • Supporting the project in the program/project organization and metrics gathering and analysis *
  • Developing new opportunities with existing and/or new clients

Minimum Qualifications *
  • B.S. degree in an IT related field *
  • US Citizenship *
  • Ability to pass a federal government background investigation *
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive relevant technical management experience *
  • Experience documenting technical requirements *
  • Ability to work in NW DC with periodic travel to Tyson's Corner, VA *
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications *
  • PMP Certification or equivalent *
  • An understanding of the Software development life cycle (SDLC) *
  • Experience with OPM *
  • Experience and/or knowledge of any of the following technologies: *
    • Oracle (Oracle Federal Financial Management System) *
    • PeopleSoft Financial *
    • Momentum *
    • Altimate *
  • Experience with different types of government contract types (ex. Firm-Fixed Price, T&M) *
  • Experience managing customer, multi-contractor and other stakeholder communications *
  • Proven experience in growing a client relationship and creating opportunities *
  • Experience working onsite with the client, government client preferred
