Responsibilities: Provides project management leadership on a large complex project that would encompass 50 - 150 resources.
Responsible for coordinating the activities of all Infrastructure and Solutions resources in planning, build out and transition of all project environments
Manages all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, issues, risks, communications and changes.
Works directly for the Implementation Manager in providing the management of; scope, schedule, cost, resources/organization, communications, risks, issues, quality, configuration/documentation and procurement.
Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule to include milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion.
Works closely with the PMO office in review of the project, development of risk mitigation plans and revise project plans and schedules as appropriate as a result of approved changed requests.
Maintains and develops a strong positive working relationship with the client.
Prepares and submits project status reports to management and conduct regularly scheduled project status update meetings.
Willingness to travel 75% - 100% in support of the projects
Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Executes projects utilizing project management tools implementations and enhancements.
Works closely with the PMO and QA assurance groups to assure project methodologies, tools and processes and being utilized throughout the engagement.
Works with the PMO team to assure that project team members are trained in the use of project management process and tools.
Facilitates and participates in technical/business discussions, requirements clarification sessions, etc. as required
Develops and documents specific best practices for project delivery methodologies and project management
Participates in the development of bids and proposals
Mentors staff in project management best practices
Qualifications: Project Management Institute PMP Certification
Bachelor’sDegree in a related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years of software development and/or COTS product implementation project management experience.
7 years of Agile Project Management experience.
7 years Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) implementation project management experience including operational expertise.
Preferred Qualifications: Scrum Master and/or Scrum Product Owner training
Strong background of software development methodology, COTS project implementation methodologies and software engineering best practices
Knowledge and/or experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum
Excellent business writing skills and excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to make effective business decisions and ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments with minimal direction
Ability to assess and evaluate internal processes for improvement opportunities
Ability to analyze and organize data in order to prioritize project and process opportunities
Proficient at MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Visio)
Ability to abide by company policies
Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work
Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
