Recruiting at Square is a mix working with great referrals and digging: search oriented, get a name, get on the phone and network the heck out of it, break down companies and groups; penetrate social networks, start-up, investor and entrepreneurial communities.
We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of this rocket ship start-up. Square has an open floor environment which adds great energy to the job.
You have to be able to sell the company, vision, culture, compensation and technology. We need someone that can immerse themselves with Engineering to be a consultative recruiter, but be a hard-nosed recruiter at the core.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-10+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably with some start-up experience.
- Must have strong software recruiting experience, preferably with web apps.
- Looking for recruiters that geek out on the technology.
- You must be able to effectively deal with Engineering management on a daily basis.
- Great selling and closing skills.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- Good systems experience (ATS, spreadsheets, etc).Able to work in start-up environment: long hours, do what it takes, have fun.
- Must be a good team player.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong ability to do search recruiting and networking is a must.
- Experience recruiting Ruby on Rails, iOS and Front End Software Engineers.
