This Technical Resource Manager role in Diebold’s Professional Services division is part of the critical path to restructuring the Professional Services solution and service delivery model. In this position, you will develop and manage the Resource Management Office of the Diebold division developed in direct response to our customers’ business needs, enabling us to provide turn-key support where and when our customers need it. Diebold brings all of our resources to any project, large or small, to provide solutions such as ATM software customization and installation, software product integration, system/platform integration and pre-load, systems implementation, and project management.

In this position, you will plan, develop and implement strategies for the Resource Management Office and delivery resources to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timelines. You will manage the allocation of technical resources from a large pool of Diebold technical talent; assuring resource levels are commensurate with the project workload. You will be required to work closely with Diebold technical leadership to balance the workload and assigned resources, as well as ensuring Professional Services’ resource pool contains leading and appropriate technical talent.

Essential functions for this position include:
Develop and manage the Resource Management Office for Professional Services
Manage technical talent allocation to align resource levels with project workloads
Analyze and evaluate projects to assign appropriate resources to proper engagements
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of the RMO and delivery resources
Develop and maintain workload models and forecasts to ensure proper staffing requirements are met
Monitor, measure, and report on RMO opportunities and achievements Manage and develop direct reporting staff of RMO software delivery associates
Manage and control RMO departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
Work with other functional/departmental directors and managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of the RMO, and to ensure they are fully informed of RMO objectives, purposes and achievements
Day-to-day management, assignment, coordination, and reporting of the software delivery resources
Drive ownership and accountability to those parties, whose contributions and performance result in successful software delivery
Drive resource and talent management best practices to the software delivery associates and the RMO
BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical or business field (MBA preferred)
Minimum five (5) years technology leadership experience involving resource and talent allocation
Demonstrated functional experience in Information Technology and methodologies
Experience managing technical talent pools
Experience with workload modeling
Experience with resource forecasting and scheduling
Project Management experience
Experience working in a Professional Services environment
Position requires working knowledge of Process and Operational Improvement disciplines
Strong business diagnostic skills
Strong technical background with emphasis in business process improvements
Skilled in understanding and delegating operational objectives
Team player who will build bridges inter- and intra-departmentally
Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Client focus, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
Individual must possess a strong professional image and be comfortable working with all management levels
