Job Description PURPOSE:

This position will work with the Business Solutions Sales, Provisioning, and Installation Teams to assist in the design and integration of Telecommunication Solutions for commercial customers. This will include working with internal and external teams to identify customer network requirements as it relates to their phone, video, and internet services including internet security requirements (VPN, Firewall, authentication), and managed services. Systems Administration of monitoring system and other telecommunication related services as required for Bright House Business Phone and internet customers. This position may support a wide geographic area across our Tampa markets, with more specific defined support in one market or the other still to be determined.


  • Work closely with the Business Solutions Sales Team, commercial customers and integration partners to design and provide complete and integrated technology solutions for customers.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations as required in support of the Commercial Sales Team.
  • Reinforce product training to Account Executives
  • Database updates and activity tracking for reporting purposes
  • Quality Control surrounding order activity
  • Pulling Customer Service records from LEC,CLECs
  • A thorough understanding of network architecture and design
  • A thorough understanding of TCP/IP and UDP
  • In depth experience with applications such as VOIP, VPN, firewalls and web filtering technologies
  • Experience with telephony architecture including call signaling types
  • Oversees customer proposals ensuring efficient and successful completion of the integrated technology solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to manage multiple contacts and projects. Local travel will be required daily.
  • Must be self-motivated, highly organized and detailed with great follow-through.
  • Expertise and demonstrated experience with TCP/IP.
  • Expertise and demonstrated experience in data transport networks.
  • Expertise and demonstrated experience in business voice platforms including BRI, PRI, and fractional T-1 services.
  • Knowledge of wireless network architectures preferred
  • Experience with telecommunication and ISP services for commercial customers required
  • In-depth knowledge of network environments (LAN, WAN, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of managed internet services such as web filtering, firewalls, and VPN architectures.
  • Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching products a must
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers.

  • Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in an engineering related field
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in telecommunications services and network architectures
  • Prior experience with Telephony and ISP
