Champion Technologies has an immediate opening for a Technical Service Representative 1 in Geismar, Louisiana. The Technical Service Representative role is an entry level position in the Technical Service job family. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for providing base level customer support at customer sites. They will perform field tests on existing applications and conduct low level troubleshooting, such as wet chemistry tests, chemical level and chemical feed tests when necessary. In situations involving more complex problems, the Technical Service Representative 1 will work with more senior Technical Service Reps (Technical Service Representative 2 and Senior Technical Service Representatives) to develop a solution. Technical Service Representative usually reports to Account Manager, Area Manager, or Site Manager.
Performs base level tests and analysis at customer sites such as chemical feed tests and wet chemistry analysis, then reports findings to more seniored technical service representative, account managers, or site managers
Creates efficeintcy reports from a standard Excel tenplate to determine the productivity of existing chemistry applications (reports are delivered to Account Managers and Site Managers)
Acquire additional technical expertise by working with more seniored tech service reps on more complex trouble shooting activities.
Assist in maintaining proper chemical inventory levels to ensure continous operations of chemical treatment applications.
Bachelor’s Degree (Chemistry, Biological Science or related field).
6+ months of relevant work experience.
Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Skills with MS Office.
