This position is responsible for providing technical support over the phone and for diagnosing problems and recommending corrective actions if necessary.
Associate degree in electrical or electronics engineering, preferably Plasma cutting and Welding, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
5 + years experience in the cutting/welding equipment field and a strong knowledge base of equipment accessories.
Full understanding of Plasma cutting, SMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred.
At least three years of prior experience in trouble shooting electronics equipment.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work activities and meet deadlines while producing consistent results
Excellent phone and customer service skills.
Provide telephone, fax and email technical support and troubleshooting Plasma cutting and Welding equipment, guns and accessories
Diagnose faults and direct resolution within system hardware, and power source.
Provide input to design and engineering process.
Project a positive, professional image as a Company representative
Follow ISO standards or policies
Respond to technical inquiries from internal and external company personnel.
Must be able to meet with customers, in person, and have the ability to interact with them on an expert technical level.
