- Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders, performs a variety of electroencephalographic (EEG), evoked potential (EPT), and neurological testing procedures on in-patients and outpatients.
o High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Graduate of a two year program in EEG and/or Evoked Potential Testing recognized by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) preferred.
o The Hospital will provide competency-based on-the-job training if cleared by Medical Director, in lieu of a two year program. The duration of training and proficiency will be determined by the Administrative Director and Medical Director.
o Three to five years EEG lab experience required, with demonstrated proficiency in EEG and EPT
· Licensure and/or Certification
o BLS healthcare provider required.
o R. EEG T., R. EP T., and/or CNIM required.
o Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to make patients comfortable with testing.
o Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
o Computer skills required.
o Ability to maintain confidential information
