This is a part-time position which entails punctually and reliably working some morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts and involves the following duties: Performs Library Technical Specialist tasks including shelving and shifting of collection, stocking of supplies, adhering to a check-off list and schedule, and general cleaning and upkeep of library hardware. Under direct and indirect supervision, executes customer service tasks including checking library items in and out and answering patron questions and requests over the phone and in person. Perform IT tasks including changing patron passwords, re-imaging computers, and successfully doing information technology Q & A. Learns and fulfills library closing procedures. Learns and uses specialized library software applications to perform basic circulation and research tasks. Observes and upholds library security, safety, and privacy guidelines.
Proficient using Microsoft Office's Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications; Previous customer service experience; Experience working in a library setting; Previous information technology experience; Has a current work-study award.
