DESCRIPTION

The Technical Support Analyst I position is responsible for assisting all employees with software, hardware and general computer support. This position will organize the cleaning of all computers, and completing all assignments as directed by the Information System management. This position will also organize training documentation, train individual users in computer use, assist with office applications, create new material for training and assist with Standard Operation Procedure documentation.

DUTIES

Primary -
  • Assist employees with computer problems as directed by the Information System management.
  • Keeping the documented trouble tickets in our tracking software.
  • Assist the Information System management by completing all tasks assigned.
  • Assist Information System management in training all employees and departments to operate more efficiently on their computer.
  • Complete projects assigned by the Information System management.
  • Train new employees of computer and network policies, procedures, phone systems and assist them with getting logged into their computer during the IT Orientation.
  • Assist the Information System management in maintaining printing, fax and technical supplies by documenting pricing, quantities and dates ordered
  • Assist the Information System management in updating all software with the current releases which includes all OS, Office and local applications.
  • Report to the Information System management daily/weekly regarding status of all assignments made.
  • Set up computer training times with all computer users and conducts surveys as directed by the Information System management.
  • Configure computer work stations for users in the company.
B. Equipment Maintenance:
  • Maintain Monthly cleaning of all desktop computers.
  • Maintain biweekly cleaning of all copiers at both locations.
C. Miscellaneous:
  • Assist employees with computer problems as directed by the Information System management.
  • Attend training seminars as needed.
  • Run errands for the company when asked. (Driver authorization required).
  • Occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Aid as directed by IT Manager in ordering needed equipment.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Information System management.
  • Assisting the Network Engineer II with program installs on computers, configuring client computers and other network related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS

General knowledge of the inner working of IBM compatible computers, installation of work station/server software and configuration of Microsoft Operating Systems within a Windows domain network. Hands on experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Operating Systems, computer hardware, printer configuration/installation and customer support are a must. Specialized education might include: Associates Degree in a Computer Information Science field of study. May substitute for experience. Primary -
