We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our fast-growing support team. Working directly under leadership of the Manager, Technical Support, the Technical Support Engineer will be accountable for providing technical, functional, and coding support to customer’s product support teams, field engineers or technicians who are diagnosing, troubleshooting and debugging highly technical or sophisticated healthcare software and computer systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical, functional, and coding support to customer’s product support teams, field engineers and technicians within established SLAs
Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix software and configuration problems.
Escalate design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to software engineering/ design engineering
Provide professional and timely issue communication to a diverse customer base
Evaluate and document support best practices to ensure knowledge transfer between peers and related teams
Collaborate with cross functional teams on long term projects
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting software and/or customer service on computer systems
2+ years experience providing technical support to product support teams, field engineers and technicians
HL7 knowledge strongly desired
Experience with 24x7x365 SaaS operations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate/adapt to change in a highly variable, multi-tasking work environment
Self-motivated and driven with affinity towards customer service excellence
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferably computer science or similar)
