ARS is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for their client in Nashua, NH. The main role of the Technical Support Specialist is to support the sale efforts of the business group by handling the complete proposal process and generating viable solutions to customers.
Prepare proposals according to the prescribed from companys format. An emphasis on schedule, accuracy and completeness is very important.
Participate in creating an As Sold document for sold proposals in preparation to hand off the project to Product Management.
Select appropriate components for given applications situations. This requires an understanding of the product line and how various components relate to paper grades. An understanding of how problems can be solved by adjustments to the existing equipment, addition of new equipment, or replacement by a new system is also required. Proper solutions will take into account cost effectiveness, customer preferences, as well as the correct technical approach.
Utilizing existing proposal templates, and standardized product descriptions, prepare effective solution-oriented proposals. Generate new write-ups when existing ones do not exist.
Follow up completed proposals to keep track of project status, purchase dates, etc. Re-quote as needed.
Support Customer Service, Field Service and Sales by providing information when needed.
Assist in gathering information for the product line database
Equipment sizing and design.
Associates Degree; and/or three year technical writing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of basic math calculations is required.
Above average computer skills (e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, and business systems)
Strong organization skills and capability to handle multiple and changing priorities
