Our client, a leading diagnostic company, is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join their team in San Diego, CA.
Assists customers by answering questions on sample interpretation and investigating possible product performance problems. Ensures complaints and associated investigations are documented and processed through the electronic complaint handling system in a timely manner. Under the direction of Supervisor of Technical Support and Product Investigations, assist sales and marketing with training customers, Sales Representatives and distributors in proper use of products and interpretation of results. Assists R D with product improvement projects, product development and product applications as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handles internal and external customer complaints and questions by telephone, e-mail and/or fax. Requires excellent customer skills, keen attention to detail, and a driving desire for team and personal success. Requires a firm understanding of FDA regulations as they pertain to the diagnostic industry. Assists customers in evaluating and validating products for purchase. Assists customers with the use of laboratory equipment for various related applications. Troubleshoot assays and instrument systems using a variety of laboratory methods. Performs any product investigations as a result of complaints from customers. Light travel may be required. Other duties may be assigned.
2-4 years experience in a laboratory environment. Prefer medical diagnostic experience. IFA experience highly desired. Instrument experience a plus. BA/BS Degree. Experience dealing directly with customers. Quick learner and open to a fast-paced environment.
