Batch Credit Services associate is expected to contribute to the fulfillment of batch jobs by participating in the execution of orders for internal and external customers. The Analyst is accountable for successful analysis and implementation of customer business requirements by providing an end to end processing solution. The Analyst is also responsible for the creation, setup, testing, and execution of program configurations based on design documentation; in addition to supporting departmental and organizational efforts. The associate will support these efforts through working with all Batch Credit Services and Transunion associates.

Responsibilities:
Performs review and analysis of detailed business requirements and system design to formulate and code an execution plan; utilizing knowledge of mainframe and open systems application tools and environments.

Develop moderate to complex test plans, execute all test plans, and validate batch fulfillment system setup and output data.

Analyze data and test results to ensure integrity is maintained throughout program lifecycle.

Ensures accurate execution to limit re-work.

Participates in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities and/or process efficiencies.

Independently able to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues that may occur. Seeks guidance when necessary.

Collaborates with team members on translating process designs, with adherence to standards, into repeatable system configurations.

Interprets and ensures all legal, compliance, and business rules are adhered to and documented during program execution.

Independently maintains accurate, efficient and timely delivery of programs. Guides others in managing workload.

Identify opportunities and assist with implementation of quality improvements.

Creates complete solutions for moderate to complex programs and assists others with program development.

Understands system behavior and technical tools for constructing and designing simple solutions.

Consult with business users on best practices.

Maintains productive working relationship and negotiates with team, peers and management as well as regularly work with contacts outside the department.

Assists others with decisions that may impact deliverables and/or resources using knowledge and experience. Seeks guidance when necessary and appropriately escalates issues.

Applies expanded knowledge of credit industry, core business functions and technical tools.

Support product implementation and understand how product and/or system changes will affect program execution.

Promotes and manages change.

Understands how strategic goal measurements impact department level goals; participates in defining and achieving department goals

Create and maintain personal development plan

Independently and proactively assists team and peers. Holds team and peers accountable and provides feedback when appropriate.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred with 3-5 years of progressive work experience with data analysis and/or programming batch fulfillment systems in a mainframe environment.

Must achieve qualifying scores upon training completion in proprietary systems.

Ability to analyze moderate to complex data using logic and quantitative reasoning, and an intuitive capacity for problem solving.

Proficiency level working with JCL, SQL and SAS.

Working knowledge of standard mainframe applications.

Independent and resourceful with the ability to identify opportunities to optimize performance

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of relational database, and the ability to manipulate/transform data using mainframe software utilities.

Working knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and quality assurance.

Skilled in multi-tasking and dealing with competing priorities, while still meeting assigned deadlines.

Skilled in delivering high-quality output on time in a fast-paced environment

Enjoys and works well in a team setting fostering collaboration and working toward consensus

Analytical in nature and is able to act decisively in critical situations

Mainframe

: IBM Mainframe (z/OS & MVS), TSO/ISPF, JCL/PROCS, IBM Utilities, SAS, EzTrieve, FileAid/File Manager, AbendAid, SyncSort, C, REXX, SCLM, Star Tools

Distributed Systems

: LINUX, UNIX

Methodologies

: Systems Development Lifecycle experience, RAD, Case Tools, ClearQuest

File Transfer

: FTP, Connect Direct

Databases/File Structures

: DB2, MS Access, VSAM, Sybase, SQL
