The Technical Trainer will act as the company's institutional trainer for all applications of the Information Services department. The principal responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
Train staff using a multi-faceted approach that includes, white board, videos, Webex, videoconferencing, and standard instructor-led methods. Train staff on how to use the company's Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and how to run queries Train staff on issues relating to safe operations as they pertain to cybersecurity Train staff in the use of the company's Shoretel phone system Train staff in the use of the Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level. Develop courses for new systems that are adopted as institutional tools by the company and create videos for training staff in the company applications that can be used for off-hours support Document technical applications used by staff Develop training courses as necessary Develop and maintain a regular schedule of course offerings Develop evaluations for staff measuring skill competency Edit existing IS policies and procedures as requested by the CTO Maintain the training room equipment and systems and handle set up/break down training rooms in location outside the training room Providing first tier technical support on client software as necessary
Qualifications
BA degree or similar certifications in a related field with strong academic credentials is preferred At least 3 years of experience as a technical trainer and developing training Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite Excellent presentation skills Knowledge of databases, queries, and Boolean logic Familiarity with desktop operating systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent writing skills Ability to work independently Good organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work flexible hours, including periodic staff weekend coverage Ability to lift and carry weight up to 20 pounds
