Twitter is making a large investment in building out its monetization engineering team. The already large team is looking to grow very quickly this year.
To do this as efficiently as possible, having well written, up to date, helpful documentation is crucial to the communication and onboarding needs of a large team. You have a passion for enabling technical folks to being maximally productive via access to crisp, clearly defined materials. You have a passion for diving into a fast-paced team, figuring out what the biggest needs are and making fast progress. Depending on your skills and interest, you’ll work on systems documentation, new hire guides, and designing curriculum for internal transfers and new hires, in addition to organizing existing material. This is a temp to perm opportunity.
Overall ownership of our internal wiki-based technical documentation.
Work with engineers to clearly document systems, identify and cull obsolete docs, and make sure our corpus is well-organized discoverable.
Work with engineering to identify gaps in our new hire onboarding process, and design curriculum / documentation to make this process more smooth.
Lead internal presentations.
Gather feedback and define what exactly needs to be done in this area.
BA/BS degree, or equivalent work experience.
Experience documenting software APIs, network architecture, and security components, from both logical and physical perspectives.
Experience with teaching technical courses (informally or formally) is a plus.
Strong understanding of written and visual documentation tools and ability to author new and edit existing material.
Comfortable working in a fact-paced, under specified environment, possesses an eye to aggressively identify the high priority items to quickly move the needles we care about.
