Summary: The Technical Writer is responsible for writing and editing of technical documentation for the company’s products and procedures. This person must have excellent research skills, must be able to organize their ideas, and be able to translate technical terms into text that any reader can understand. This position is a contract assignment.
Description:
Research technical content related to Production manuals by collaborating with the Project Team.
Synthesize Production documents and descriptions in concise, understandable explanations.
Ability to work autonomously within tight deadlines to meet customer/project specific requirements.
Ability to perform and validate technical/maintenance procedures.
Manage assignments and documentation submittals according to defined quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Develop accurate, detailed manuals that are used to support projects and products.
Interact with the project team as required.
Edit and create technical illustrations.
Review and edit technical documents and training materials as directed.
Document submittals and weekly activities following departmental procedures.
Use departmental processes to complete various assignments.
Required to follow safety policies.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
M inimum 3+ years of experience developing or delivering instructional material.
Minimum 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation. ·
Strong t echnical aptitude.
