BoardVantage is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical writing background - composing technical information into clear, concise, print/PDF documentation and online help content for both technical and non-technical audiences. The candidate will have experience creating a broad range of technical publications for both hardware and software products - including installation, user, and admin guides, online help systems, training manuals, operations and maintenance manuals, as well as other related documentation. This position reports to the VP of Product.

Responsibilities:
Document the integration processes with various departments for technical workflow, implementation, hardware, software, vendor products, and support

Gather the business requirements from account managers, product managers, and the customer support team

Translate requirements into technical documentation

Organize and complete given assignments with required style, terminology, clarity, and order in a timely manner

Collaborate with QA to document use cases

Coordinate with the Engineering team to write release documents

Create comprehensive product documentation and FAQs to support every release

Work with technical staff to create functional and technical FAQs for our developers

Update existing content in the knowledge base

Create engaging training and self-guided tutorials for business and technical users

Publish winning marketing content used in the sales process

Required Skills/Experience:
College degree in English or Communications from an accredited University

Minimum of three years' experience writing documentation or training materials

Proficient knowledge of English grammar

Professional communication skills, both oral and written

Experience in web based technologies

Professional computer skills with an expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, wikis, Photoshop or similar image editing applications
