This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. As part of the ICON Medical Imaging Division our Technical Writer will be responsible for documentation associated with the specifications, development and use of software systems.
Overview of the Role
You will document user requirements.
Derive functional requirements from user requirements and interface with developers to create software requirements specifications and design specifications.
You will document version control and create other documentation associated with the software development life cycle (SDLC) including validation packages, system executive summaries and system user manuals.
Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.
Other duties as assigned.
You will possess Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent with a minimum 2 years technical writing experience.
Must be proficient with W2000/XP+ operating system and with MS Office 2000+/XP business applications.
You will have working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and Trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
You will have working knowledge of the software development life cycle.
Trained in computerized systems in clinical trials.
You must possess strong organizational skills, highly effective communication skills and proficient documentation skills.
