Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be clearable to the Top Secret level.

Candidate will be responsible for developing and proofing documentation for customer's Information Assurance Division (IAD). Duties include creation and update of various project-oriented documentation, to include status reports, project plans, PowerPoint presentations, Visio-based business process diagrams, flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, security guidance, engineering documents and various other project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have been exposed to a broad set of topics in Information Assurance, possess knowledge of a variety of security policy directives (primarily NIST and DHS), have experience producing and maintaining project schedules, as well as numerous other policy related deliverables.
  • Analyze, develop and assist in the deployment of NIST aligned guidelines, standards, etc and technical documentation.
  • Ensure that deliverables adhere to quality standards and meet delivery schedules.
  • Generate oral and written presentations and reports.
  • Prepare correspondence, memorandums, information papers, weekly summaries and management briefings on a variety of program office-related subjects.
  • Proofread and edit documentation to ensure consistency of language and style, proper grammar, etc.
  • Partner with IPO branch members and other IAD personnel to better understand and respond to documentation needs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in enterprise level security program development and implementation
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent education or work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong document generation, editing and proofing skills, particularly with documentation on technical solutions, processes, etc.
  • Familiarity and prior use and referencing to Strunk & White's, The Elements of Style, in previous technical writing experience, i.e. proper sentence structure, grammar, etc.
  • Prior Civilian Government or DOD program office experience helpful
  • Self-motivated/self-starter and able to work at the direction of KCG Team Lead or designated lead
  • Network experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on use of functionality within MS Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project
  • Familiarity with NIST Special Publication 800 series documents
