Currently, Trident has a Technical Writer position available in our Morrisville, NC location.
Essential Functions
The primary responsibilities for this role will be the development of documentation to support end users. Additional documentation tasks will come in the form of descriptions of the system interfaces, configuration, and architectural design. This role will have significant influence over the tone and direction of the documentation for a number of projects. This position will be joining a small team where the writer will have an opportunity to fill a number of roles, including acting in QA and UI design roles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who likes to explore many different roles and responsibilities on a team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have a proven history of working independently to develop documentation and conduct the research needed to ensure the documentation’s accuracy. Bachelor degree in an engineering related field, communications or English 3+ years experience working in the tech sector Strong skills in Word 2007 or later Excellent research and writing skills Experience compiling technical documentation, such as user manuals, installation guides, SDK documentation, and design documents
