Responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks within the Environmental Horticulture department. Operates plant tissue culture lab, small hydroponic unit, and grafts and buds plants. Propagates landscape plants, weeds, prunes, mulches, fertilizes, plants, labels, and removes dead plants. Assists with classroom preparation and takedown. Maintains records. Performs various light maintenance duties.
Associate's degree or two years of college coursework required, or related experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Minimum of one year related experience required.
Valid driver's license required.
Must have the ability to calculate and mix fertilizer.
Required Computer Skills:
Ability to use various internet browsers preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar application preferred.
