Performs basic tasks involving the fabrication, documentation, programming and/or assembly of various devices and Works from engineering drawings, detailed sketches or verbal instructions where processes, materials, layout, types of components and dimensions are specified. May assist in the evaluation of materials and methods. May assist in documenting and maintaining engineering drawings. Operates computers as needed. fixtures.
Performs basic tests and records data. Assists in the preparation of apparatus, materials, chemicals or computers. Tests limits and parameters are specified. Operates microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical lab equipment, including computers and lasers. Maintains an engineering notebook. Assists in interpreting test data and utilizes current total quality techniques to compile and summarize.
Performs basic troubleshooting, calibration, failure analysis or modification of test hardware, fixtures, software, and lab Modifications are made with engineering assistance. May assist in outlining change procedures. equipment. This may include production or customer supplied equipment.
May perform design and drafting activities as required. Utilize manufacturing technology and packaging techniques using Rosemount accepted standards. Utilize computer aided design techniques. May perform PCB design, layout and fabrication. May use mechanical design and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
May assist in supporting manufacturing activities through the resolution of production problems, preparation and Reviews engineering changes and new designs and recommends changes. Estimates labor, materials, and manufacturing costs for capital equipment justification, new designs, design changes and process enhancements. maintenance of manufacturing documentation, labor performance documentation, implementation of cost reductions and methods improvement.
Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required.
Education: 1800 hours technical school, minimum
Experience: One year related mechanical technician experience, minimum
