The Technology Account Manager role at INetU is an account management position that combines the best of sales and customer service. The account manager is a trusted advisor to the accounts that they manage. This role will help clients through their on-boarding process and will be responsible for managing the daily/weekly/quarterly activities to ensure that INetU is exceeding expectations and to make sure that the client has everything they need from INetU to be successful. The account manager will develop relationships with their accounts that add value to the already great customer service INetU provides, by understanding their business goals and being able to make smart recommendations from our experiences of what has worked for other clients. They educate clients on new technologies and offerings that may help the client improve their online business.

The principal responsibilities of the role include:
Face-to-face client meetings. Despite the fact that we are an Internet-based service, we get out of the office and meet with customers in person. This means semi-regular day trips and occasional traveling within the USA.

Exceed account base growth goals. This job has a strong selling component, and we want to make sure we seize every opportunity to allow our client to utilize our offerings to the fullest advantage.

Minimize loss in existing customer base. We pride ourselves on long-term relationships with clients.

Promote and sell target products and services to client base. Our industry is constantly evolving and we need to keep the clients up to speed on the new services that may help them do their jobs better.

Proactive client check-ins. Phone based follow ups with customers on a semi-annual basis to make sure clients have what they need from INetU to help them succeed.

On-demand escalations. We make sure the client gets the help they need if they are having trouble by serving as a point of escalation outside the service department.

Generate referrals. When we do a good job, the best reward a client can give us is a warm referral to another company that can use our service. We are not afraid to remind the client of this by asking for referrals.

Job Requirements:
5+ years working in Account Management at a B2B Technology company.

Strong writing skills.

Great problem solving skills.

Strong negotiation skills.

Ability to influence and persuade others.

Ability to work independently and in groups.

Desire to constantly learn about sales, target industries and technology.

Personal Characteristics:
High-energy individual with a positive attitude, good teamwork skills and exceptional customer service experience.

Credible: Customers and prospects feel the account manager truly understands their needs and is able to understand their questions and concerns and that the account manager is able to facilitate satisfactory solutions.

Poised & professional: the account manager has the ability to take stressful feedback from clients and communicate it with the appropriate sense of urgency, while at the same time transferring their knowledge and recommendations to technical staff in a productive and positive tone.

Cares about customers: Truly passionate about providing great service to customers.

Self-directed, self-motivated and accomplishment-oriented – possesses the drive and determination to succeed.

Persistent but pragmatic: willing to be flexible and adaptable to change.

Quick on feet – can address the challenges presented during sales and service conversations.

Must be able to engage in normal office activity, including, but not limited to, significant computer work and data anaylsis, heavy customer contact via phone and frequent in person meetings. Must be able to attend and fully participate in meetings which may last up to several hours in length.

This job is considered Light Work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
