Job Summary:
This position is for a Technology Program Manager to be a part of an Process R&D engineering team participating in advance technology development in GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ state of the art 300mm wafer fab (Fab8) in Malta, New York. The primary responsibility of this position is to program manage advanced technology development programs in Fab8 to meet GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ technology roadmap requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:
The technology program manager will be responsible for the development and execution of an integrated project schedule for technology development projects with appropriate intermediate milestones and checkpoints to track project execution to schedule. The role will require continuous problem solving to address issues and break constraints and/or escalate to management as necessary.

Technology development projects include:
n new technology nodes
n technology process modules
n customer specific technology requirements

The Program Manager will drive the Definition of Requirements and Statement or Work of a technology development program to ensure scope containment and official requests to change the scope of the program when new requirements are presented. The Program Manager will coordinate overall activities from technology development program definition through successful technology qualification and release into production.

Activities include:
n Development and maintenance of an integrated resource plan supporting the project schedule.
n Coordination with other technology program managers to effectively manage pooled or share resources
n Coordination with other program managers from other internal functional areas (Design Enablement, Customer Engineering) to ensure complete cross-functional program definition and execution.

Necessary tools used by Effective Program Managers:
n Integrated project scheduling tools
n Definition/Statements of Work to define program scope
n Core-team meetings to work detailed schedule execution
n Comprehensive risk/issues log to ensure continuous monitoring and work to address realized and anticipated issues and risks.
n Prepare and coordinate project progress visibility with project plans, reports, analysis
n Facilitate regular meetings to track all components in the project
n Manage the project progress, achievements and gaps
n Identify bottle necks in the program well in front and help to overcome before they influence the project

Required Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree (M.S. or Ph.D. strongly preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering or physical science discipline is required;
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a project leader, project manager or program manager of semiconductor development projects
• Demonstrated skill in recognized program management tools, e.g. MS Project, Primavera, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different cultures and across organizations (cross-functional proficiency).
Preferred Qualifications:
• M.S. or Ph.D. strongly preferred
• 4 years of technical program management experience
