Do you enjoy working with teens? Do you want a job with many opportunities for professional development? The Carbon County Library System is looking
for a creative, energetic librarian with the desire to take youth services to
the next level. Position resides at the Rawlins Library.
The 40 hours/week position involves working with the programming team to develop programs for all 8 library locations. The position also involves collection development for the teen and children's collections. The position
reports to the Public Support Services Manager. The job includes a variety of evening and weekend hours.
Carbon County is along the I-80 corridor in south central Wyoming.
Rawlins is the county seat with 10,000 residents. Carbon County is home to the Medicine Bow National Forest, Saratoga Hot Springs, and countless historical sites. If you enjoy wide-open spaces, Wyoming may be for you.
ALA accredited MLS/MLIS is required. Previous library and programming experience is preferred. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and
public speaking skills, organizational skills with attention to details,
comfort with technology, creativity, and a solid understanding of library
theory. Occasional travel required. Recent grads encouraged to apply.
