The Senior Engineer Telecommunications will report to the Manager, Telecommunications and be responsible for engineering efforts associated with a Cisco Unified Communications environment as well as other technologies including Cisco collaboration (WebEx – Jabber) Call Center (UCCX – PCCE) and Telepresence. The person in this role would ideally have a very high level of technical training and experience in CUCM, telephony infrastructure, and Cisco collaboration tools.
This position will be expected to work independently and as part of a team executing telecommunications efforts in a global, enterprise environment.
Ability to design, integrate, configure, maintain, and deploy Cisco VOIP products, including:
o Cisco Unified Call Manager (7.0 through 9.X)
o Cisco UCCX
o Cisco PCCE (UCCE)
o Cisco Unity Connection
o Cisco Gateways / SRST
Traditional telephony experience including the following technologies o Telephone Circuits (PRI’s, T-1, DID’s, POTS)
o General understanding of LAN/WAN technologies
Assure full documentation and compliance with quality processes.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in related field preferred or equivalent work experience
CCVP / CCNP (Voice) preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a Cisco VOIP environment
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
Excellent verbal communication skills required (English)
Ability to work on projects in team setting
Ability to communicate program standards and requirements to contractors
Ability to communicate and work with end users with minimal computer experience
Good business writing skills required (English)
