Telecommunications Specialist Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center -

Employee applicant must possess an Associate’s degree or Life Experience Equivalent. Ability to trouble shoot, diagnose, and manage all aspects of the telecommunications platform. Specialist will oversee and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Hospital’s telephone system, switchboard, and portfolio of communication tools and services. Successful candidates must have a 5-7 years experience in telecommunications or related field. Prior hands-on experience managing a Toshiba CIX, Xtend, Spectra-link 3000, and Communicator NXT Systems desired. Experience working with wireless phone systems, long and short range pagers, AMCOM switchboard consoles, cellular communications platforms, and the Active-Voice voicemail system is a plus.
Successful candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills with a strong commitment to Customer Service. The ability to manage multiple projects and to work collaboratively with management and staff to determine communications needs is required.
