ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The telecommunications administrator is responsible for assisting engineers in administration of voice and cellular technologies

1.

Assists with the administration on a day-to-day basis the company’s voice technology, such as cell phones, phone lines, phone switch, call center, CMS, update circuit inventory, voice mail and call recording.

2.

Learns the processes, procedures, and systems supported by the Telecommunications group.

3.

Works under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.

4.

Provides entry-level/basic technical support to users to resolve problems in conjunction with the other IT Production Services teams.

5.

Provides basic administrative assistance to the Telecommunications Team by processing reports, creating, assigning, and closing tickets in the Incident Management tool, reviewing and approval of billing.

6.

Provides basic technical assistance to the Telecommunications Team by performing simple voice and data systems tasks.

7.

Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled.

8.

Conveys information of a technical nature to non-technical audiences in a clear and professional manner.

9.

Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience.

10.

Follows the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

11.

Provide administrative support in the documentation of new procedures.

12.

Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimum Qualifications

·

Minimum of high school diploma or GED

·

Up to 3 years’ experience professional, technical, customer support experience in a corporate environment supporting local and remote users

·

Knowledge of IT operations and workflow processes/procedures

·

Experience supporting a Windows environment

·

Preferred experience supporting basic phone system moves, adds, and changes

·

Excellent customer service skills

·

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

·

Ability to work effectively with personnel on all levels

Ability to type 45 wpm
