Role: Telephony E911 Engineer
Client: Leading Government Integrator
Length: Long Term Contract
Apex Systems has a current opening for a Telephony E911 engineer in the Baltimore, MD area. Our client is a global leading government systems integrator. The key role of the engineer will be to accompany colleagues onsite to analyze the E911 infrastructure and to make recommendations based on data collections on current system state. Based on the recommendations the engineer will work with 3 rd party vendors to design individual solutions for each site. The engineer must have a thorough understanding of hard wired telephony systems and SIP trunking.
Experienced Telephony E911 Engineer
Ability to perform SIP trunking
Previous experience working with 3 rd party vendors to provide solutions
Ability to analyze current telephony systems and make recommendations for upgrades or total overhaul
Thorough understanding of hard wired infrastructure for telephony systems
1) Background in dispatch call centers (training. processes, etc)
2) Previous experience with implementing solutions (like Motorola, AT&T, or Siemens)
3) Experience with data base administration or integration for when projects shift gears
4) Telecommunicator I and / or II certifications
