The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a temporary Administrative Associate in our Louisville Kentucky office.

The Administrative Associate will need to be a self-motivated, independent worker who enjoys handling a variety of office related tasks.

Responsibilities:
•Provide administrative support to the Go Red For Women Director
•With guidance from Director, manage 2-3 volunteer groups to achieve organizational goals which include fundraising, event logistics and driving awareness for the cause
•General office functions such as reviewing mail, preparing daily banking deposits, coordinating meetings with staff and volunteers
•Support processes related to fundraising events such as recording and depositing donations and managing event logistics
•Mission related fundraising
•Other duties as assigned

Required Skills •Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and database tools
•Ability to complete administrative related tasks such as reviewing, responding to and typing letters, reviewing documents, manuals and other office correspondence.
•Ability to work general office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, phone systems, etc
•Independent, self-motivated worker
•Analytical problem solving skills
•Ability to interact with all levels of business professionals
•Ability to interact with local and affiliate staff
•Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to support processes related to fundraising events such as recording and depositing donations, gathering donated items and assisting with event logistics as needed
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to manage projects and prioritize work by multi-tasking to meet deadlines
•Ability to make timely, business appropriate decisions
•Ability to take initiative and be assertive when appropriate

Required Experience •At least 2 years of experience in an office setting as an administrative assistant or similar role.
•Sales/fundraising experience is a plus
•Two year degree in business/office/administrative field preferred.
