Welcomes and directs visitors by greeting them; answering or referring inquires; giving instructions; taking messages.
Provides office support by receiving, completing, verifying and evaluating information; preparing and distributing mailings; establishing and maintaining files; producing reports.
Verifies payments by receiving and documenting payments; maintaining journals; reconciling entries; preparing reports.
Maintains security by accepting delivery of packages; issuing equipment; monitoring equipment location and return.
Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures; posting informational notices; reporting needed repairs.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
Maintains staff confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Clerical test must be taken and satisfactory scores must be made. Typing score must be 40 WPM with 98% accuracy; data entry score must be 4000 KPH with 98% accuracy; basic skills score must be 70%. If you currently have test scores on file in Human Resources, those will be used. If you need to schedule a clerical test, call 817-257-7790. Applications will not be forwarded to departments until satisfactory scores are on file.
Supports department by responding to customers, providing information, receiving and processing data.
High school diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year basic office experience. Ability to clearly communicate verbally; knowledge of basic office techniques; knowledge of basic customer service techniques; knowledge of computer hardware and basic software. Must be willling to work a part-time temporary position from 4:45-8:00 p.m. during the academic year only.
