The Temporary Financial Analyst will handle diverse finance functions to support Smithsonian Channel's growth including:

. tracking and analyzing distributor monthly payment documents

. tracking and analyzing performance of ancillary businesses including International, Home Video, and Non-Thetarical

. carrying out functions related to month close

. monitoring and tracking all cash receipts and aging reconciliations

. assisting in the preparation and inputting of monthly budget

. working on ad hoc finance and strategy projects as necessary

Required Skills/Experience
To qualify, you must have:

. 2-3 years of experience in finance/accounting in the media industry, preferably in television

. excellent excel skills to develop and maintain large spreadsheets and financial models quickly, accurately and efficiently

. excellent communication and organizational skills

. ability to multi-ask and switch gears a must

Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience using Peoplesoft Enterprise One and Hyperion preferred.
