Provide immediate customer service by receiving and filling food orders. Prepare and cook menu items to fill customer orders, and continually clean and stock prep areas.
Prepare food items in advance to meet projected volume.
Prepare and package customer orders, as requested by counter person.
Operate all equipment necessary to fill customer orders.
Maintain clean, orderly and well-stocked prep area.
Set up and close down shop according to opening and closing procedures.
Read and interpret menus, recipes and instructions.
Represent the operation in a responsible, timely and pleasant manner at all times, particularly when interacting with customers.
Completely maintain the Commons and Dining areas and assist with general kitchen maintenance.
Inform supervisor of preparation, serving, equipment, supply and food product requirements, problems and shortages.
Perform side work when business is slow.
Perform related Departmental duties as required.
Supervision is received from Food Services Manager or other designated supervisor.
Work is performed in a University fast food facility and may include exposure to extreme heat, oils and chemicals.
Other Desired Qualifications
Ability to read, write, interpret instructions and perform basic arithmetic, typically acquired through the completion of a high school education, is necessary.
Ability to meet Departmental standards of reasonable personal hygiene is necessary.
Experience in fast food cooking is necessary.
