The Electric Department is seeking an experienced systems dispatcher to perform responsible communications while responding to routine and emergency conditions on the Electric, Water, Wastewater, and Gas utility systems. Dispatching information to crews and departments on a daily basis over GUC's computer, telephone, and radio systems, along with operating computerized remote control system equipment is required. This position requires frequent clear and effective verbal communications with internal and external customers. Various system duties include reading and analyzing computerized data, gauges, meters, and charts; operating GUC's two-way radio system to receive and transmit routine and emergency messages; generating service orders based on information received from various customers, GUC personnel, and departments; notifying appropriate personnel regarding alarms on all associated systems; monitoring and operating each departments Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems; maintaining various communications and operational logs; and assisting with restoration of facilities during storm situations as stated in the GUC Emergency Plan.

The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years' experience providing direct support for similar systems, preferably in a utility company environment. Experience with SCADA, Geographic Information Systems, Customer Information Systems, Outage Management Systems, and Work Management Systems is a plus. Applications accepted until filled.
