We have an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Project Coordinator, Applicant and Awardee Services in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.

The Temporary Project Coordinator, Applicant and Awardee Services provides administrative and technical support services in the research applications and awards process for the National Center and seven affiliates. Provides day-to-day application and grants management services for applicants and other parties associated with applications, awardees, and institutional grants and fiscal officers. Assists customers understand and interpret AHA policies and procedures to ensure compliance on applications and awards. Must be able to communication information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.

This is a temporary position to last approximately 1 - 3 months. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Major Responsibilities Include:
Manages contract agreements for awarded projects.

Manages award activation process (collecting forms and resolving concerns.)

Monitors awards for compliance with AHA policies and procedures.

Manages approximately 350 active awards, manages award payment process.

Reviews annual financial reports for compliance with policies.

Monitors annual scientific resport submissions.

Supports annual submission of approximately 5000 applications.

Provides information and technical assistance to all customer groups (applicants, institutional personnel, sponsors and referent.)

Manages applications for compliance with program requirements and adherence to AHA policies and procedures.

Manages notification to applicants and institutions.

Required Qualifications Include

6 months related experience and High School diploma or equivalent required, 2 years of experience preferred.

Experience managing application, notification and awards processes preferred.

Strong customer service experience.

Ability to communication information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.

Strong attention to detail.

Highly effective organizational skills.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel.)
