SUMMARY: Operates forklift within Warehouse and between Production facility; Operates tractor trailers combination to move trailers to designated locations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All matters listed herein are considered to be essential job functions. There may be other job functions which are essential, but are not listed below.
Loads/unloads and sorts/stacks pallets.
Daily Warehouse forklift operation.
Moves trailer to designated loading site.
Spots and switches trailer as directed.
Cleans, washes, fuels trailers; and inspects for damages
Perform any other assigned tasks.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license with at least a class “B” rating and an air brake endorsement, where required; Forklift certified.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); Ability to successfully complete on-the-job training and company driver test(s).
LANGUAGE/ MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to read, write, add and subtract. multiply and divide.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Inclusive but not limited to)
The candidate must have a successful pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen where required prior to commencing work.
W hile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands; stretch and reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must have full range of body motion.
Regular forklift operating daily into warehouse and from production facility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: (Inclusive but not limited to)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and/or heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
