A Tennis Instructor is responsible for teaching tennis-specific instruction, providing a safe, fun camp environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers.
Position Objective/Purpose:

Position Scope Factors:
Tennis Instructors are hired at the following locations:
Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA
Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA
Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Supervision of campers with attention to: behavior and group management, health and safety, security, and personal and skill development
Promote and actively participate in all camper activities
Work effectively with other tennis instructors and collaborate on various responsibilities
Assist with instruction of tennis skills and fundamentals
Coach, manage, referee or assist with all camp programs
Teach age-appropriate tennis skills and techniques in a progressive sequence to boys and girls ages 6 – 14
Complete assigned paperwork
Serve as a positive role model to campers
Follow the ESF Code and maintain the ESF Look at all times
Exhibit ESF Core Values at all times and to adhere to all company policies
Have fun

Experience Requirements:
Previous experience working with children; examples include but are not limited to; babysitting, academic/athletic tutoring, camp counselor, youth volunteer, classroom assistant, religious education teacher
Experience playing tennis (high school level minimum)
Outstanding communication skills which include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with campers, their families, peers, leadership team and the larger community
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to and takes direction from Tennis Camp Operations Manager. May also take direction from and is overall accountable to Site Director.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of 35lbs
Endurance to work outside and on your feet for 6-8 hours per day
Ability to respond to emergency situations which may require running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and climbing stairs.
Good physical condition which enables candidate to perform all responsibilities of this position
