Terminal & Pipeline Operator - 03008 Description
      Operates petroleum terminals and pipelines. Duties include, but are not limited to, operating valves and manifolds for vessel off-loading and ensuring required procedures are followed as required by the company and USCG; operating valves and manifolds for product receipt from supplies via pipeline, tanker or barge, tank truck, and rail car deliveries; performing personnel training; maintaining department operations reports and records; participating in emergency response drills; performing fuel quality control testing; performing janitoral and ground maintenance functions; and the ability to comply with attendance/tardiness standards.

      High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of all aspects of mechanical equipment and control systems used in the receipt, storage and issue of petroleum products. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must possess and maintain an Alaska driver's license.
